\Jeuveau is different from Botox in that it undergoes different purification and drying processes. The vacuum drying process used when making Jeuveau has been shown to preserve the botulinum toxin protein more effectively, avoiding the damage that can occur with other methods. Therefore, it is “theoretically possible” that Jeuveau may have better potency to other wrinkles relaxers (also known as neuromodulators).
The clinical studies demonstrated individuals who received the treatment started to see results as early as day 2 and continuing through day 14. An additional positive is that Jeuveau may last longer than other wrinkle relaxers: during head-to-head clinical studies, many subjects receiving Jeuveau reported a slightly longer duration of effect. A majority of subjects in the trials noted an improvement in the appearance of frown lines, with both the patient and the physician in the studies agreeing that a positive difference had been made.
